RESPECT WEEK

Hosier Inc. has unveiled 'Respect Week', a new initiative honouring the culture, creativity and community that define Melbourne's most iconic laneway. This week will highlight respect for artists, visitors, businesses, residents, both permanent and short term and the heritage that make Rutledge and Hosier Lanes a living canvas. It's also a first step toward a majour 2026 celebration, where Victorian students will be invited to submit their own versions of what respect means today. Hosier Lane has always been about expression, now its it's time to show respect too. More news will be released via our instagram feed in coming weeks.

Hosier Inc. Joins Zero Waste Festival.

As part of the Zero Waste Festival this September, Hosier Inc. will host a dedicated activity in Hosier lane. On Saturday 6 September, Hosier Lane will feature the 'Difficult Items To Recycle Hub'. This free volunteer-run activity gives visitors the chance to bring along hard-to-recycle items, from small electronics to odd plastics and help give waste a new life. The Hub is more than a drop off point, it is an opportunity to learn about sustainable practices, understand how recycling supports the laneways, and see how small actions contribute to the health of Melbourne and beyond. At Fed Sq, the wider festival will include workshops, market stalls, repair and mending demonstrations, talks on innovative zero waste solutions and plenty of opportunities to connect with others who care about sustainable living. This is a free event and no tickets are required for the majority of the event. see the Zero Waste Festival website for further information. Hit the Read More link for information.
